In a press statement released on Sunday, the Chairman of the Kwara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, Prince Sunday Fagbemi congratulated the governor of Kwara State, Gov Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for reaching his third year in office.
In his statement, he described the governor’s victory in 2019 as a watershed moment in Kwara State as his emergence ushered in impactful contributions to the development of various sectors in the state.
According to him, the governor’s emergence as the party’s flagbearer for his reelection in 2023 is a testament to the unwavering confidence of Kwarans to entrust him with their mandate to govern them again.
“I salute your integrity, wisdom, hard work and visionary leadership which has contributed in no small measure, to the smooth successes we experience during the just concluded Primary Elections.
We applaud your Excellency for always remaining focused on upholding the democratic principles, which have enabled and repositioned Kwarans, to operate in an environment that allows for full expression of their political will and the protection of their inalienable rights to freely participate in the electoral process without any form of hindrance or intimidation,” he added.
He also used the occasion to thank the first lady of the state Her Excellency, Dr Mrs Olufolake AbdulRazaq for standing “by our leader through thick and thin, with her love and prayers over the years.”
