On Sunday morning, masqueraded individuals broke into a church in the Shikal hamlet of the Langtang South local government area of Plateau State, disrupted the service, flogged confused worshippers, and damaged the church’s goods.
According to reports, the mob entered the church’s grounds while the service was still in progress and began beating worshipers as they fled for safety.
The invaders later destroyed the church’s musical instruments and other property, according to the Symbol NewsAlert article.
However, DSP Alfred Alabo, the State Police Public Relations Officer, verified the event without providing any further information.
“The local DPO has confirmed that it is real, they are addressing the situation, and the area is calm,” he stated. He claimed that masqueraders entered a church and interfered with the services. While the inquiry is underway, we will provide complete details as soon as possible.
