Kwara State Governor mourns Amb. Sambo Imam Says He was an Active Statesperson

At his GRA mansion in Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State participated in the janazah (burial rites/prayers) for Ambassador Abdulkadir Muhammad Sambo Imam on Friday.

The Governor referred to the late diplomat as a brilliant statesman who made immeasurable contributions to national, state, and community development in a statement following attendance at the burial ceremonies with other senior people.

“Our deepest sympathies are sent to the deceased diplomat and exemplary public servant who served as Nigeria’s representative in a number of nations at various points in time. He was one of the last survivors of his honorable generation at the age of 90, the Governor added in the statement.

“We implore Allah, the Creator of the universes, to grant Al-Jannah Firdaus and to rest the soul of the great diplomat. In addition, we pray that Allah would uplift and support his family in their grief.
