Governor AbdulRazaq pays a condolence visit to the Apaokagi family over the demise of Alhaja Fatimat Baidowu Apaokagi, first wife of late Alhaji Khidru Sallahudeen Apaokagi, 2nd Grand Mufty of Ilorin at their family house in Ilorin on Monday.
The deceased is the stepmother to the SDP senatorial candidate for Kwara Central Mr. Ridwan Apaokagi.
AbdulRazaq during the visit received a commendation for his huge investment in education, which had manifested in the awards and scholarship granted one of the daughters of the family, Faosiyah Apaokagi.
The family in their response thanked AbdulRazaq for the visit and also used the opportunity to declare their support for the governor’s re-election. The family head prayed for more success in piloting the affairs of the state for another four years.
Apaokagi is one of the state’s contingents that won the recently concluded president’s schools debate in Lagos. She got N500,000 rewards from Governor AbdulRazaq and also benefitted from the gazetted sponsorship to the university level and will be representing Nigeria at the World Schools Debate Championship take will take place in Netherlands.
