On the 8th day of September, Buckingham Palace in a statement divulged the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, at age of 96. She held the record for the longest reigning monarch in the history of the United Kingdom.

In the event that the queen should pass away, it is widely believed that Prince Charles, the eldest of the queen’s four children with her late husband, Prince Philip, will succeed her as monarch.
