The Turaki of Ilorin and All Progressives Congress flag bearer in the 2023 Kwara Central senatorial race, Mallam Saliu Mustapha, has commenced the installation of seventeen ultramodern motorised boreholes in communities under Asa Local Government Area of Kwara state.

It will be recalled that Mustapha, the chairman and founder of the foundation had in May promised and announced a donation of 17 ultramodern boreholes to be sited in each of the 17 wards of the local government.

According to the Turaki, the boreholes were donated as a demonstration of his modest support for the Kwara state Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRaza, who he said deserves all the support he could get from public spirited individuals to deliver more on his promises.

However, our correspondent gathered that Mustapha’s team have been spotted at different locations in the local government area, installing the boreholes under the supervision of the Lower Niger River Basin Development Authority (LNRBDA).

Confirming the development, the Director General of the foundation, Alhaji Ambali Shuiab said the commencement of the boreholes was a matter of commitment and faithfulness.

Turaki promised the people of the LGA in the build up to the primaries and are now being executed. This presupposes that Mallam Saliu MUSTAPHA is a man of his words, who won’t promise what he can’t deliver. This kind of intervention is what people want to experience, not mere sweet political speeches that neither put food on their table or impact their lives, he added.
