The lawmaker, representing Irepodun Constituency at the Kwara State House of Assembly, Hon. Shola Odetundun has extended warm greetings and heartfelt felicitations to the Muslim Ummah on the auspicious occasion of Eid el-Fitr.
Odetundun in his Eid-el-Fitri message issued by his Media Team called for proper understanding and respect of one another’s faith and religion.
According to him, “As Muslims around the world conclude the holy month of Ramadan, a period of fasting, prayer, and reflection, we join in celebrating the joyous festival of Eid el-Fitr. This sacred day represents the culmination of spiritual growth, self-discipline, and devotion to faith”.
Odetundun acknowledges the fundamental principles of compassion, unity, and generosity inherent in Islam. He expresses appreciation for the Muslim community’s dedication to fostering harmony and mutual understanding among people of diverse cultures and beliefs.
The lawmaker further emphasizes that the discipline and self-restraint exemplified during the holy month are the foundations for living a good life and making society a better place to live.
Odetundun congratulates the Muslim Ummah on the successful completion of the month and tasks them to sustain the virtues of Ramadan by maintaining the love, togetherness, and peaceful co-existence that characterized it.
The Irepodun-born politician urges Muslims to see the Eid-el-Fitr celebration as a season for sober reflection, noting that they must also rededicate their lives to the teachings of the Holy Qur’an as demonstrated by Prophet Mohammed ( S.A.W).
“As we come together to mark this special occasion, let us embrace the spirit of brotherhood and solidarity, extending a hand of friendship and support to one another. May the blessings of Eid el-Fitr bring peace, happiness, and prosperity to all,” he concludes.
