END OF YEAR CELEBRATIONS, KWARA FIRST LADY PRESENTS FOOD ITEMS, OTHER UTENSILS TO CARE HOMES.

The first lady of Kwara state and Founder Ajike People Support Center Ambassador Dr Olufolake Abdulrazaq, on Friday 24th December visited some selected homes across the state and presented them with gifts.

The first lady visited the Kwara State Children Reception Center and the Omore Orphanage Home Gaa Akanbi Ilorin the Kwara State Capital.

The first lady who was represented during the visits by the Commissioner for Women Affairs Hajia Maryam Hassana due to the challenges some of the children have, implored the managers of the homes to guide and monitor them well as they are susceptible to all manners of abuse while stating firmly that there is no tolerance for any form of abuse in Kwara State.

The first lady however called on individuals, societies and organisations to always remember these children in their programmes and activities.

She added that Food items, home utensils, even scholarships to the children in these care homes would go a long way in shaping their future.

The first lady urged the children to be good and obedient children to their care givers and on a similar note she urged the care givers too to be conscious of the children’s sensitivities and ensure that they are shielded from any form of abuse at all times.

Ambassador Dr Abdulrazaq commend the Kwara State Ministry of Women Affairs for their relentless efforts at ensuring that the homes are run efficiently. She also commended the Ajike support group for providing the children reception center with a borehole at the center.

The First Lady thanked those who have been reaching out to the centers and urged others to tow this path as these children are an extension of us and as such their care should be our collective responsibility.

The children at the facilities were presented with foodstuff and other essential items.
