Concerns about casualties from the early-morning fire that destroyed the West African Examinations Council’s (WAEC) national office in Lagos have been allayed by the organization’s management.
No one was hurt and crucial records were unharmed, according to an official statement from the examination authority that certified the fire’s outbreak.
“The Management of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), wishes to use this medium to inform the general public that there was an early morning fire incident at the WAEC National Office, Yaba, Lagos,” reads a brief statement signed on Wednesday by Moyosola Adesina, Head, Public Affairs Department of the Council. A group of firefighters quickly brought it under control.
Fortunately, no lives were lost, and all crucial data and documents were unharmed.
