The Kwara State Government has said that in order to free the state from dependence on funding from the Federation Account, it has launched a sizable infrastructure project.
According to a statement sent to Symbol NewsAlert, the state governor of Kwara announced this on Tuesday during the inauguration of the 8th Kwara State Joint Trade Fair in Ilorin.
The governor claimed that his administration is purposefully investing in infrastructure that generates income, such as highways, an innovation hub, a center for the visual arts, and clothing factories.
According to AbdulRazaq, “As a government, our top priority is to create a state that relies solely on its own resources and does not depend on central government subsidies on a monthly basis. We are putting money into infrastructure and supporting investors and companies because of this..
“We are also building an international convention center in Ilorin in addition to our investments in the digital economy through the innovation hub and the visual arts center outfitted with Dolby studios.”
He praised the building as the best of its kind in central Nigeria, a two-in-one hospitality complex.
