The Senator representing Kwara South Senatorial district, Arch Oyelola Ashiru on Sunday joined Market women and men to celebrate 65th anniversary of Owode Market Offa.
Senator Oyelola Ashiru represented by Offa TIC Chairman, Hon Jare Olatundun while addressing thousands of traders and their leadership at the Market, said Owode Market has boosting business activities in Offa due to influx of buyers/sellers from neighboring towns within and outside Kwara State.
He stated that the market attracts alot of growth and expansion in the ancient town.
The Senator extolled the marketers for their contributions towards community development by creating sustainable means of livelihood for their family and supporting children’s education.
He said Owode Market has become rally point for people from other six local government areas in Kwara South Senatorial district, noting that the market is a centre of unity.
Senator Ashiru used the opportunity to canvass support for all APC candidates ahead 2023 general elections.
