When His Excellency, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq assumed office in 2019 after a horrendous months of political battle, he met a dilapidated state in terms of infrastructure but he went to work immediately.
Despite the paucity of funds, he implemented his agenda religiously by touching all wards such that they all had a project.
He constructed many roads which saw each local government area with presence of government, an unprecedented feat in the history of the State.
He reformed the civil service and despite dwindling resources and bad state of the state finances coupled with the scary Covid-19 pandemic, he have not owed workers’ salaries since he assumed office on May 29, 2019 even when some oil-producing states are owing.
AbdulRazaq implemented the N30,000 minimum wage brought Owo Arugbo, Owo Isowo, Kwapreneur and now laying the foundation of a new Kwara with several signature projects which some would be commission later this year.
The House of Assembly collaborated well in passing many executive bills that have protected our women and girl child and also improved the lives of Kwarans.
AbdulRazaq broke the jinx of women in government with 60 percent of the cabinet being female, the first not only in the history of the state but in the entire country.
The House of Assembly today is the most productive in the history of the state thanks to APC leadership style.
No doubt, even his adversaries will agree that he’s changing the face of the state better than he met it prior to 2019.
Come 2023, Kwarans would appreciate him with a resounding vote at the polls for running a masses friendly government devoid of propaganda.
For AbdulRazaq; Kwarans are saying fear not, for we are with you; be not dismayed, for we are behind you and we will vote you for second term with joy come 2023.
