The remarkable accomplishments of Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq merit another four-year term, according to traditional leaders, statesmen, and union leaders on Thursday.
At a town hall gathering in Oro, they each took turns praising specific administration projects in their local communities and the positive benefits of its different programs on the populace.
The town hall meeting was the second in a series of what is a solo campaign and accountability platform for the administration, and it was largely attended by thousands of individuals from Irepodun and Isin local government regions, including monarchs and statesmen.
The first had been held in Offa for citizens of the local governments of Oyun and Offa, laying the groundwork for the governor and key administration officials to share their accomplishments, solicit feedback, and ask for votes from the people.
Along with Senator Lola Ashiru, Representative Raheem Olawuyi (Ajulo-Opin), House of Assembly members, Cabinet members, agency heads, and APC chieftains and elders led by Chairman Prince Sunday Fagbemi, Governor AbdulRazaq headed the government delegation.

According to Titiloye, the community has asked the administration to either help the federal government turn the College of Education Oro into a federal College of Education or to transform it to a university.
“To combat poverty in the state, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s administration established the Kwara State Social Investment Program (KWASSIP). We have witnessed a lot in our community as a result of the four-part program that aims to lift Kwara natives out of poverty and into prosperity by investing in them through capacity building and direct support.
Speaking on behalf of Egbe Omo Ibile Igbomina, Chief Sunday Ibitoye asked AbdulRazaq to restore the stool of the Oluganna of Ganna while pointing out how much progress the governor has made in the state.
He also praised the governor for his humility and let politics be politics attitude.
AbdulRazaq was asked by Sarkin Kara of Ajase Market Sheu Garba to assist in remodeling the market and supply them with a motorized borehole.
Imam Abdulkareem Abdulganiyu, the chief imam of Pamo Isin, pleaded with the administration to provide support for religious studies instructors in Kwara South schools.
Reverend Ade Aremu, chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Isin LG, urged the government to maintain its commitment to enhancing public welfare and ensuring the fair distribution of wealth among all societal groups.
The government team took turns detailing the administration’s accomplishments in several fields, including as education, healthcare, road development, social investment, tax collection and allocation, as well as the allocation of resources.
Kwara is more secure today than it was in 2019, according to Finance Commissioner Olasumbo Florence, who also noted that the county’s fiscal sustainability rating has improved over the past three years.
For instance, she noted, “despite some financial setbacks along the way, our ranking nationally was 20th in 2018, 19th in 2019, 12th in 2020, 10th in 2021, and 8th in 2022.” She also noted that Kwara has not borrowed to pay wages since 2019.
Many roads have been built around the state, especially in Irepodun and Isin, according to Works and Transport Commissioner Rotimi Suleiman Iliasu, and dozens more will be built as part of the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP)
Dr. Raji Razaq, the state’s health commissioner, also provided information on the administration’s health projects in the region and throughout Kwara State. He added that the government has made numerous firsts in the health sector, including the introduction of novel new tools and programs.
Prof. Sheu Raheem Adaramaja, the chairman of SUBEB, stated that the administration’s investments and dedication to better educational outcomes for students are evident to everybody, citing specific school projects and activities across the entire state of Kwara.
AbdulQuowy Olododo, the head of KWASSIP, claimed that all areas of the state had benefited from the administration’s safety initiatives. Citing the World Bank State-by-State Poverty Index, he added that the initiative has also reduced Kwara State’s poverty index from 30.2 in 2019 to 20.4, which is far above the national average.
