Governor of Kwara State AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has appointed doctor of pharmacy Abdulraheem Malik to lead the state’s hospital management board.
Mr. Saad Aluko is replaced by the top pharmacist, who the governor praised for his four years of outstanding service to the state.
Dr. Malik is well-known in Nigeria’s pharmaceutical sector and served as the managing director of the well-known pharmacy chain Rotamedics prior to his appointment.
The appointee, who is originally from Ilorin, received his or her education at a number of institutions, including Ahmadu Bello University in Nigeria, Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona, Spain, University of Mary in Bismarck, North Dakota, Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Boston, Massachusetts, and Walden University in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
His credentials include a first and second degree in pharmacy, a doctorate in philosophy in pharmacy (PharmD), a pharmacist practice license from the United States, a master’s degree in business administration in healthcare from the United States, and master’s degrees in pharmacy economics and international health economics.
Dr. Malik is known for his philanthropy and community development work and has worked at a number of medical facilities both in Nigeria and overseas.
His hiring as the hospital board’s executive secretary is effective right away.
