he Kwara State Commissioner for Communications, Hon. Olabode George Towoju has described the rumour making rounds in the media that Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s developmental projects have not reached some local governments as figment of the oppositions’ imagination, saying nothing could be further from the truth.
Towoju cleared the air on the rumour on a radio programme in Ilorin, the state capital.
In his response to a question posed about an allegation that Oke-Ero Local Government has not benefitted from the present administration, he was quoted to say, “I can assure you that there is no single ward in Oke-Ero Local Government that you would not see the impact of Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s administration.
“There are developments in areas like Education; revamping, renovating and remodeling of schools, and provision of basic amenities.”
Speaking on why the present administration has been able to do so much in the state since coming to power, Towoju ascribed this to “the sterling leadership charisma of Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
“He allowed not only himself to be working but also every member of his cabinet, the House of Assembly’s members, the TIC chairmen and supervisor. That is why in everywhere in Kwara state you will see one project or the another.
“As I am talking to you, we are enumerating the people for the 30,000 empowerment programme. It is a mega project.”
Towoju assured that the selection for the programme will be free and fair for all Kwarans.
