Kwara State Sports Commission Confirmed 30 sport Association

The Kwara State Sports Commission has established 30 sports associations and sent letters to the associations’ chairs and members, who will oversee the development and seamless operation of the sports under their associations.

This development is a part of the plans being made to ensure the smooth operation and quick development of sports over the course of the next four years.

It was also gathered that this was in accordance to a release from the Commission made accessible by the Media Officer, Yusuf Feruke.

Additionally, it aims to improve the execution of the upcoming Kwara State Sports Festival, which is anticipated to take place from September 24 to October 1 this year.

It will be recalled that Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on assuming office revived the state Sports Festival by staging the seventh Kwara state Sports Festival in January 2020 after 15 years of abandon.

The associations constituted are: Athletics, Ayo, Badminton, Basketball, Baseball & Softball, Beach Volleyball, Boxing, Canoeing, Chess, Cricket, Cycling, Dart, Football, Golf, and Handball.

Others include; Judo, Kickboxing, Karate, Paralympics, Scrabble, Swimming, Squash Racket, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Tennis, Weightlifting, Wrestling, Wushu Kunfu and Rugby.
