The aspiring senator, who is embodying Kwara Central in the National Assembly, in person of Dr Ibrahim Yahaya Oloriegbe, has missed his offer to sit with the Senates in 2023.
Oloriegbe has the lowest vote scores amongst three others of All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirants that participated in the senatorial primary held in capital of Kwara State.
A philanthropist and also the Turaki of Ilorin, Malam Saliu Mustapha scored 136 votes to emerge the winner of the senatorial shadow election.
Another business mogul, Yahaya Seriki scored 78, while Oloriegbe scored only 15 votes.
Against his claims that he is routing for the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the current senator representing Kwara Central Senatorial District, Sen. Yahaya Oloriegbe might have made a detour as he has reportedly invited the PDP Senatorial candidate, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi to the anniversary prayers that held today at his family house in Ogidi Ward, Ilorin west LGA.
From the right source whose root passed through Oloriegbe’s compound, the venue of the prayers, noticed that already posters of the PDP candidate have engulfed the area preparatory to the visit of the PDP candidate and other bigwigs from the opposition party.
This move, the medium learnt is aimed at spitting the incumbent Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and the senatorial candidate of the APC in the 2023 general elections, Mallam Saliu Mustapha.
Kwara Central APC Senatorial Candidate, Mallam Saliu Mustapha has cautioned Senator Ibrahim Oloriegbe against constant personal attacks in bid of to 2023 general elections.
Saliu Mustapha made this call in a statement issued on Saturday following another outburst by outgoing Senator of KWARA Central, Dr Oloriegbe.
In fairness, the APC Senatorial Candidate did not mention any name in his lengthy statement but it indicate direct response to Oloriegbe who is trying to discredit outcome of APC primary election in KWARA state.
Saliu Mustapha said; the results of the senatorial primaries reflected the wishes of party stakeholders and members in the district and the fate of the candidates.
Mustapha compelled all leaders of the party to be conscious with their words and utterances in public places in order not to derail the modest gains already made by the party at the state and nationally.
