A Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), Kwara for Good Governance (KGG) has questioned the credibility of self-acclaimed civil society organization, Elites Network for Sustainable Development (ENetSuD), over a leaked graphics which was said to be exclusively obtained by our medium seeking to promote a Kwara State Gubernatorial candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP), Alhaji Waziri Yakub Gobir.

In a statement signed and co-signed by the President and Secretary of KGG, Saheed Ibrahim and Muktar Abdullahi, it reads, “A civil society group that has consistently claimed to uphold good governance in the state by monitoring the Kwara State government on good governance should not be seen to be actively partisan in politics.

“We condemn this leaked graphics if it is actually intended, for it would further confirm the purported partisan stance of ENETSUD.

“We may also wish to discard the notion that the relationship of YPP’s Kwara State Publicity Secretary, who was at a time an official of ENETSUD is being activated,” the statement continued.

Meanwhile, late last year, ENetSuD was reported to have partnered with the Young Progressives Party (YPP) Governorship candidate by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) worth ₦26.5m.

The report enunciated that the signing of the MoU is to enhance and facilitate the CSO’s set goals in line with its Citizens Enlightenment and Mobilization Program (CEMP) across the 193 wards of the 16 LGAs in Kwara State.

It further confirmed that GOF has committed a part payment of ₦10 million to ENetSuD as the first tranche of the project sum while signing the MoU on Tuesday in Ilorin by the Young Progressives Party (YPP) Governorship candidate, Waziri Yakubu Gobir.

The report collaborated that ENetSuD Ag. Director of Community Services, whose Directorate oversees the CEMP activities, Fatima Bintu Dikko; Chairman of ENetSuD App Committee, Saeed Tijjani; ENetSuD Deputy Coordinator, Mr Lanre Osho applauded the Governorship candidate for the donation.
