The members of ALGON Kwara State chapter with a heavy heart and total submission to the Almighty will of Allah deeply mourn with the Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Salihu Yakubu Danladi over the death of his father and the patriarch of the Salihu family, Alhaji Salihu Aliyu, Tafarkin Borgu.
Alhaji Salihu Aliyu from Gwanara community of Baruten Local Government Area was an accomplished educationist and a prominent political figure in the annals of Kwara North and in the state. His contributions to the development of education are enduring. He was an elder statesman who lived a life of service to his community and the people.
Alhaji Salihu Aliyu was a truly religious man and peacemaker who stood as a unifier in Borgu Kingdom.
May Allah forgive his sins and elevate his station among those who are guided. May he send him along the path of those who came before.
May Allah grant Rt. Hon Salihu Yakubu Danladi and the entire family, the fortitude to bear this huge loss.
