Lately, members of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State have oiled their propaganda machinery, telling barefaced lies and trying effortlessly to rewrite history. They apparently have no solid grounds to discredit the current administration of the All Progressives Congress (APC) led by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq which has been outstanding and monumentally impactful. All they now do is tell lies without any shame. But this should not come as a surprise because it is a charge and mandate their leader, Bukola Saraki, has given to them. They are therefore racing against one another in the propaganda enterprise.
For the record, Saraki had at a party function promoted the use of propaganda and falsehood in prosecuting the 2023 election in the state. He tasked his followers to utilise their arsenal of propaganda and lies to attack the current government.
Well, propaganda has always been what the Saraki dynasty thrived on to sustain their hold to power. They paint pictures that are at clear variance with realities on social media. Since lies cannot always thrive forever, the people of Kwara State later saw through their dishonesty and sacked them from top to bottom. Yet, these liars and fraudulent characters still want to come back to lord over our affairs in the state.
The irony is that the same Saraki who was recorded live promoting propaganda at home was on Arise TV recently condemning propaganda. What kind of stinking hypocrisy is that? People who know Bukola Saraki very well are familiar with his chameleon behaviour in desperation for power. Kwarans must however again show these fraudulent politicians that there is no vacancy for them in the state. Never again. Their 16 years was dogged by incompetence in governance, dismal administration, widespread scam, looting bazaar and impunity.
Today, Kwarans are happy that Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq is initiating the recovery process of the state across sectors. They know what basic education used to be before. They know what it is now. They know what primary healthcare used to be before. They can see the improvements now. They know how they suffered to get their salaries then (some people do not even know their actual pay owing to geri-gedi). They know what is obtainable now as the government does not only pay as and when due but has implemented the minimum wage of N30,000 the previous administration refused to implement. Water situation in the state was sordid. At a point in time, people had to queue for tankers to get water in this state and then thank the maladministrators as if they’ve done them any favour. We know what water situation is today. Abandoned waterworks across the three senatorial districts have been fixed. New one are also being included to the list.
The Saraki dynasty propagandists however take Kwarans for a ride. Nothing explains their penchant for pushing falsehood and rewriting history other than thinking Kwarans are fools. All these indices affect the people and their livelihoods. They know how it used to be yesterday and how it is today. At the appropriate time, the masses will show the vuvuzelas of the Saraki dynasty that the joke is on them.
Imagine that tainted charcaters like Ali Ahmad and Ademola Banu are the ones coming out to make image for the Saraki dynasty. Is that not insult upon injury? What moral rights do the two shameless characters have. But like Bayo Sanni their colleague said, they are grandfathers of liars. Civil servants will speak with their votes to expose Banu’s dishonesty soon. Ademola Banu is a failed administrator whom as Commissioner for Finance, various financial scandals rocked the state and obligations could no longer be met to workers. His attempts to save his face is poor and laughable.
Going forward, Bukola Saraki should stop crying on national television about propaganda because he is the grandfather of propaganda who was on record to have promoted propaganda. It’s too late for him because his propagandists are now assaulting the sensibilities of civil servants and Kwarans at large. They have declared war against the masses with their barefaced lies and falsehood.
